I got a dodge neon 2003. It’s locked out by anti theft. Could I disable it and reprogram the key to it using a x300p. The key itself is a chip key not an actual fob.

After I format the X300p and re-load the updates again there was no problems!

DO NOT BUY FOR JAPANESE ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS!

The device does not connect for OBDii diagnostics on Toyotas and most other Japanese. And I cannot get live data from most of the Japanese cars. I operate a small garage and I am getting a lot of "fail to connect messages" when I scan OBDii especially for Toyotas. I cannot do live data on some other Japanese brands either.

I emailed Xtool about this and they cannot say why the device cannot connect to most Japanese cars for OBDII diagnostic and live data.

Save yourself the money and buy something else if you want to do engine diagnostic for Japanese cars.

OBII failing to connect on 2001 Toyota Rav4, 2009 Toyota Yaris and live data cannot show engine parameters on 2009 Subaru GT. I never had these problems with my old PS701 Xtool machine. Definitely not satisfied with my purchase. I hope this can be addressed.

hi every one... I've owned xtool x300p but when i try to connect and scan Honda Cr-v gen 2, Toyota commuter van 2016, Mitsubishi montero, its showing ' failed to connect'... ignition key was On, the obd2 test cable was properly connected but still failed, what is the 'cause of this? help please...
